Theresa Amato

She is the first woman in U.S. history to run two high-profile presidential campaigns outside the two major parties. As the national presidential campaign manager and legal counsel for Ralph Nader in 2000 and 2004, she fought for a fair treatment of third parties and Independents, including in ballot access, media coverage, participation in the debates, in the counting of the votes, in addition to systemic reforms through many years of litigation.
